Our Improving Quality Learning services are designed to support secondary schools and students in a flexible and responsive manner. Tailor made support and development programmes to improve outcomes are provided for the following.
English and Mathematics at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
Expert support is provided to English and mathematics departments in order to rapidly impact upon student outcomes. This includes the provision of coaching and mentoring to subject leaders and to individual teachers. We are able to respond to identified needs for improving teaching and learning.
Study Support for Students
We offer tailor made intervention and study support programmes including:
• booster classes for Key Stage 3 core subjects and for Key Stage 4 courses – this includes weekend, holiday as well as before and after school classes for identified underachievers
• revision days and events
• strategic support to EAL students
• revision guides.
Behaviour Support
• staff training in behaviour intervention strategies
• behaviour intervention support through mentoring and coaching of students
• consequence and reward systems.
Teaching CPD
Flexible programmes of training and coaching are available for teachers and support staff in effective teaching strategies and improved subject knowledge. These can be linked to support through subject evaluation visits provided through Ofsted trained inspectors or pairing with expert teachers and subject leaders. Our expertise in brokering linkages with schools and expert subject leaders ensures successful pairing of staff for effective improvement support.
Curriculum Review and Design
Expert support is provided to curriculum review and design and to the creation of effective virtual learning environments that support students and parents.
